Rub On Applicator

This is rather tongue in cheek but I am still interested.
Who uses the pop stick applicator that comes in packets of rubons.
I have a lot of rubons and haven't used them in some time but over the last week have done a few projects using rubons. Each time I have also been lazy and instead of getting my embossing tool I have used the popsicle stick. Of course I have given up in frustration and sought out my embossing tool. So, out of interest who finds the pop stick a successful tool for applying rubons?
