Flocking Tips

Have you started with flock and how are you going? I am looking for some tips and offering some ideas on what hasn't worked for me!

I have tried:
PVA glue - not that great an idea, coverage not complete and a bit lumpy
Francheville glue pen - glue dried too quickly and so the flock didn't stick well
Jac paper - my best experience, tipped on the flock and then worked it into the adhesive with my fingers, coverage is best

My issue is that I know it is bext to have the same colour card under the flock as the flock. E.g. black card under black flock. If I use Jac paper it is white under the flock and therefore shows through more.

I have heard Zig glue pens work well but have not stores within 3 hrs drive and don't really want to order yet another adhesive on line if I won't use it. I am a double sided tape or glossy accent girl!

What have you had success with?

May be I am just expecting a density of coverage that isn;t possible
