Scrapbooking does not seem to have taken off in Cornwall - is there any prospect of a new Scrapaholix club in Cornwall? I am very new to scrapbooking so couldn't run one myself.
Hiya
We used to have a club in the Launceston and Lewannick area but it closed a while ago.
Why not chat to the girls about starting up your own club?
A LOT of the current organisers started clubs when they were new to scrapping too - I believe Carolyn had only made one double page page layout when she started Tunbridge Wells Club 6 years ago LOL!! You get a lot of help and support from the girls when you start up and they supply teaching notes and instructions for sample pages for the newbies. See the free classes in the tutorials section above.
Go on - get in touch - what do you have to lose?
scrapaholix2@aol.com for all the details

Hi there
Are you a member of one of our clubs? (Sidcup and Bromley are both in SE London) If you are - ask your club organiser about ordering you one from our store. We have a few left at a really good price for members.
If not - nip over to www.UKScrappers.co.uk and check out some of the sponsors on there. There are LOADS of them offering albums in all shapes and sizes - or if you look in the photo album sections of shops like Boots and WHSmiths they quite often have 12 x 12 albums tucked away in there for around £15

Hi i was just wondering where the road show is held on 4th of September at Bexhill & also what the day involves as i have not been to one of these days before?
Hi there
The road show is held at Christ Chrurch Methodist Church Hall in Bexhill, and you can find full details of the day if you click on the "Store" tab up at the top of the page (you have to be registered and logged in first!)
Once in the store - go to Roadshows and retreats and click on Roadshows, then on Roadshows in Sussex and click on the link above the logo!
Basically though - the Roadshows offer you a day's cropping with a reasonable amount of space (never less than hald a 6x3 foot table if we can), as much tea and coffee as you can drink with biscuits in the morning and cake in the afternoon, and a jacket potato lunch.
There are also several optional classes to choose from throughout the day - and if there are enough particpants - we invite a shop to come along as well - and don't forget - all the way through 2010 we are running our buy one get one half price offer which means that you and a friend can come along for £12 each rather than the usual fee of £16!
I would like to put my club meeting on the calender but can't see how to do it.

Tried all the usual; clicking on the day, right click etc. Thank you

Hi Maureen
If you go to your Club page (under My Groups up at the top right of the page) you click on the add event option and enter the details there.
For a fast response to these sort of questions, you should post them in the Club organisers group though - that gets checked by the others more often than I remember to look in here LOL!
Hope that helps
Rub Onz
I am new to Scrapaholix and am working on the February kit.
I am finding that the rub onz are very difficult to transfer the flourish onto
the page. I have to rub very hard and even then only get a light impression on
the page. Is this normal or is there a technique I need to know about? Thank you MaureenK
Hi there Maureen and welcome to Scrapaholix!
If you check out the February free class in the tutorials section, Carolyn has given you step by step instructions on how to use the Rub Onz in the instructions for her pages.
For more detailed notes, you should go to the Club organisers' area and look for the trainer notes for February for even more detailed step by steps.
Gallery for 2nd club kit pictures
Is there anywhere on the gallery now for us to put pics of layouts using the second kit?
Your wish is our command!!
You will find it under the Scrapaholix Club kits heading in the gallery. I look forward to seeing your offerings in there!
How to join Stockton Club
hi mandy my name is carol L would like to join scrapaholix in stockton will you send me some information please I know there is a class this saturday will you let me know thank you. carol
Hi Carol
You need to contact the club organiser Lynn Donnelly for all the gory details of where when and how much it costs.
You can find all her details on the Stockton club page. Click on Locations and then UK on the tabs above, then look for the Stockton page. I would have asked her to contact you direct - but I don't have enough of your details to identify you from your question - sorry!
Technique details
Can members access monthly technique details please. I have had to leave a group as it has now closed down, and had to re-join one in a different area. The teacher is not as experienced as my old teacher. So am having problems with Februarys kit.
The rub-ons are not as the seem I have rub them like normal rub-ons but they do not appear to be easy.
Thank you
Ajay.
Hi there Ajay
Sorry to hear that your old club closed down, but great to hear that there is another club nearby for you to join.
You should ask your organiser to give you a copy of the technique notes if you are unsure of how to do a technique, all the club organisers can access technique notes going back for a couple of years in their section of the site.
Check out the tutorials section of the website here as well - there are often full instructions for a couple of pages which also cover the technique of the month. I will ask the girls to ensure that the Rub - Onz ones are put there for you.

I love the look of machine stitching on layouts but am too timid to try. How do I start and is there anything I need to know first about sewing papers?
Hi there
First of all get hold hold of your sewing machine and a few pieces of scrap cardstock and practice on those until you are confident enough to work on the real thing.
Second and this is VERY important - make sure that you set quite a long stitch length, a tiny stitch will just leave you with torn cardstock.
Finally use an old needle - paper and card will blunt a new one, and don't forget to swap it for a new one when you want to stitch fabric again.
You can get a lovely effect on your pages just letting the unthreaded needle punch a neat line of holes, and of course you get different textures doing this depending on whether you stitch the page face up or face down, if you stitch on the back of your page you will get raised holes on the front.
There are some wonderful machine embroidery threads available which will give you some fabulous effects.
Have a go at adding stitching to your pages and don't forget to upload them to the gallery to show us whow you got on!
Could you kindly let me have details about becoming a Club Instructor as I see you have no clubs in the West Midlands of the UK.
