Hi From the October Challenge News Room...

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to all who have joined the Fall Challenge and thanks for uploading your layouts to the gallery. Your first accomplishment has been achieved - finding forum posts and learning how to upload images to the gallery. Now there shall be no excuses for not uploading your layouts...LOL

Firstly, if there is anyone who didn't make the deadline of uploading their layout to the gallery but has a scrap pal please notify me at bev@scrapaholic.ca to let me know so you can at least get your points for having the scrap pal. The points for everyone will be posted by this Friday and found on the forum in the "general chat"

Here's the October Challenge....drum roll please....

It is exactly midnight my time so I can officially post the challenge...my eyes are being held open with toothpicks...LOL

Two parts to this challenge: All needs to be completed by October 31st and posted and/or uploaded.

1. "Ask Mandy" - you have to ask Mandy a technique question. The question must be related to one of the 10 techniques from January 2008 to October 2008. You can ask her for help, you can ask for advise or you can ask for information....but it MUST BE technique related.

Once you have asked the question and received your answer, you must post to the "SCRAP CHAT" area of the forum both your question and what she answered you. This might be good for future reference as we might learn something from your questions. 500 points when you post to Mandy and 500 points when you post your question and her answer.

Second part of this challenge...

2. Take a picture of your scrapbooking room or your scrapbooking area and post to the October Challenge site. BUT...you must showcase a weird tool you use for scrapbooking. This tool can be any kind of tool as long as you use it for scrapbooking. You must include in the description what the tool is, what it is used for, where you bought it and how much it cost. You will receive 1,000 points for posting picture with weird tool. 500 points if you post picture of your scrapbooking room with no mention of weird tool.

Judging for the weirdest tool for each country will be as follows: Sarah will pick from Canada, Bev will pick from USA, Louise will pick from Australia and Ruth will pick from England.

The person with the weirdest tool in each country will be awarded another 100 points.

Remember to post all this challenge by October 31st BEFORE midnight.

Can't wait to see what everyone's scrapbooking room looks like...no cheating with cleaning your room either...LOL
