Cleaning Acrylic Stamps?
Submitted by AskMandy on October 8, 2008 - 17:26.Hi Mandy,
I love using acrylic stamps, but I hate cleaning them. The solution that we buy in scrapbooking stores still leaves them pretty much dark, it doesn't remove the stain from the ink. With time it makes it difficult to stamp as I cannot see through them. Is there different kinds of solution for the different types of inks that we use? Or am I just using the wrong solution?
Thank you,

There are various different solutions on the market but I think the problem actually lies with the stamp, acrylic stamps are made differently (i.e. some cheaply and some not so) and I believe it really is the quality of the stamp that causes the ink to seep into it which over time will make them brittle.
Stamping on Photos
Submitted by AskMandy on October 8, 2008 - 16:52.Hi Mandy,
I enjoy using stamps to add detail to scrapbook pages and sometimes I would like the stamp to go across the page and overlap the photograph - can you advise me please on the best type of ink to use for this?
Thanks a lot,
Annie
The one that will stay on and not wipe off is Staz-on by Tsukineko, it will work perfectly on photolab photos - so if you are printing your own it might just not work as with some ink jet photos it will lift the ink from the photo when you lift the stamp - you have been warned!!!

50 points for each technique done up to a maximum of 450 - used felt (1) to back the photos and stitched (2) around the edges, used die cuts (3) , covered in paper and glaze (4) with beads (5) around the edges, used grungeboard (6)for the 's' and acrylic letters (7) for the rest of scrap pals, used a piece of acrylic (8)to back the letters and stamped (9) around the pink backing sheet with a paisley stamp.
