Glossy Accents
Glossy Accents or Diamond Glaze
Submitted by AskMandy on October 8, 2008 - 17:22.Are Glossy Accents and Diamond Glaze the same thing? Is there a way to stop the Glossy Accents cracking/crazing inside the glaze when you make larger accents?
They are very similar - Glossy Accents is a lot quicker to dry so is really the crafters choice of 3D glace I think. if you don't want cracks then you need to ensure you don't pout it on too thickly.
Does Glossy Accent Resist?
Submitted by AskMandy on October 8, 2008 - 16:25.Could Glossy Accents be used in a resist technique much the same as embossing with clear powder? I love the resist technique and using this product would save the mess of using the embossing powder. I wonder though if the product would resist the ink or possibly smudge when rubbed?
Simple answer to this is yes - wait for the glue to be completely dry (an hour and you will be fine) and then go about your resisting!
NORWICH - Annie Layte - Cool Cool Summer
Submitted by annie on September 28, 2008 - 17:48.I'd never used Glossy Accents before I got this kit, but I'm hooked now! The title was cut with the cricut, then I used Glossy Accents to give a 3D effect. The COOL was coated with microbeads, then another layer of Glossy Accents to finish it. Glossy Accents was also used to create the fake button, and as a general glue - it seems to stick anything to anything! Brilliant product. I used a Crop-a-Dile to add eyelets to the photo frame which were then laced with a length of cord.
FRIENDS across the sea - Annie Layte, Norwich
Submitted by annie on September 16, 2008 - 20:05.This layout shows me and my new Scrap Pal Deborah who lives in Canada.
The colour scheme is monochrome, using Coredinations cardstock which is torn, crumpled and sanded; the acetate frame and vinyl letters are coloured with alcohol inks; the sea is highlighted with beading, stitching and swirl stamps; the fish are inked grungeboard; the photo corner was made with a fragment; glossy accents have been used on the lower part of the title.
I think that makes 9 techniques - PHEW!!!
