I made this small album using the remainder of the Teresa Collins papers, just adding a few extra elements of my own.

Holiday mini book by AlliR (Swindon)

Holiday mini book by AlliR (Swindon)

6x4 mini book using lots of the shapes and words from the Are We There Yet? sheet of paper. Enjoyed using the fragments to make embellishments, highlight part of the paper and make photo tiles.

Fragments by Tim Holtz (Oct kit)

Our October kit technique - watch the man who shows you how!

FRIENDS across the sea - Annie Layte, Norwich

FRIENDS across the sea - Annie Layte, Norwich

This layout shows me and my new Scrap Pal Deborah who lives in Canada.
The colour scheme is monochrome, using Coredinations cardstock which is torn, crumpled and sanded; the acetate frame and vinyl letters are coloured with alcohol inks; the sea is highlighted with beading, stitching and swirl stamps; the fish are inked grungeboard; the photo corner was made with a fragment; glossy accents have been used on the lower part of the title.
I think that makes 9 techniques - PHEW!!!

October 08 - Fragments instructions

Thanks to Ruth Denton from Albury Club in Australia for doing an incredible 4 layouts out of her October kit. Please click the links to the larger image.

Layout 1 - Route

Photos Used: Two 6’x4’ and one 5’x7’ (the pictures need to be able to be cropped)

  • The first thing you need to do is to create a template in order to cut your photos to the correct shape. Use tracing paper to trace around the outline of the ‘Route’ sign. Then create a cardboard template with this – I made mine out of a cereal box.
  • Lay your photos onto this cardboard and attach with some temporary adhesive. Flip the cardboard over and trim photos to template. Remove photos from cardboard and attach to ‘Route’ paper.
  • Cut out 3 shapes or words from the ‘Are we there yet?’ paper and adhere them somewhere on the page. I used a triangular placement.
